Claim a starter promo code, unlock Tier 3 with inexpensive gear, then build around one weapon type. This Mech Arena beginner guide follows my Lacewing + Javelin Rack 6 + Crow route with 28 screenshots and two complete gameplay recordings.

Complete or skip the Mech Arena tutorial

Start with the tutorial if you want to learn movement, aiming and your Mech’s ability. If you already know the basics, you may be able to skip the introductory battles.

In my run, waiting about 30 seconds on the Hangar screen made a Skip Tutorial button appear in the top right. I used it instead of playing the four introductory battles. If it does not appear on your account, continue the tutorial normally.

Where to find Skip Tutorial

Skip the introductory battlesThe Skip Tutorial button appears at the top right of the Hangar. In this run, it appeared after waiting about 30 seconds.

Mech Arena starter codes and GRASSHOPPER rewards

My pick for this route is GRASSHOPPER. It unlocks Lacewing, a three-star Legendary Mech, plus 200 A-Coins, 100,000 Credits and a Prodigy Crate. Those resources help you reach a useful early build without buying a Mech for cash.

The moderator’s starter-code list gives new players 24 hours and one starter-code choice. Redeem your starter promptly; availability and account eligibility still apply. The alternatives below were listed when checked on October 16, 2026. 1

How to unlock Tier 3 in Mech Arena

Open Gear Hub → Gear Market. Unlocking the next tier requires stars from the tier immediately before it. Acquiring a Mech or weapon adds its rank in stars; completing a rank increase adds another star. Normal level upgrades alone do not add Tier Stars. 2

  1. Clear the cheap Tier 1 purchases. Check both Mech and weapon tabs. Buy enough Credit-priced equipment to open Tier 2, then stop shopping in Tier 1 for progression.
  2. Buy the Tier 2 Credit items. In my route, the available Credit purchases brought the total to 17/18 stars.
  3. Check the Juggernaut objective. This account offered 50 A-Coins and 100 XP for acquiring Juggernaut.
  4. Buy Juggernaut for 45 A-Coins. Its two stars take a 17-star total past the unlock requirement. Claim the matching objective reward and move into Tier 3.

Lacewing and Javelin Rack 6 beginner build

Once Tier 3 opens, my recommendation for Lacewing is Javelin Rack 6. The version in this run costs 220 A-Coins and comes at three stars. The number 6 identifies the energy cost of each weapon; the stars show its rank.

The example Lacewing has 12 energy, enough for two Javelin Rack 6 weapons. The purchase shows an equip limit of two, and the loadout below shows both sides filled. GRASSHOPPER supplies 200 A-Coins, so you need another 20 in your balance to cover this purchase.

Choose Javelin Rack 6The three-star Javelin Rack 6 shown here costs 220 A-Coins, uses six energy and is a Guided weapon.

Equip both Javelin RacksTwo Javelin Rack 6 weapons use all 12 energy on the example Lacewing loadout before a Pilot is added.

Why Lacewing works with Javelin Racks

Use Lacewing’s jump to create a clearer firing angle or reposition. Acquire a lock, fire your volley, and move toward cover while the weapons reload. Jumping can help clear an obstruction, but it will not make rockets pass through roofs or walls. Watch your targeting range and where you will land.

Alternatives if you choose another starter Mech

A sniper-style weapon is an option if you prefer aiming from range. Another option in my suggested route is a Cryo Launcher around 60,000 Credits. Check the exact variant, current price and energy requirement before buying. Save enough Credits for a matching Pilot.

Try before buying, if available: look for a Try or Trial button when previewing eligible equipment. It launches a bot match. Plarium discontinued the wider test from August 3, 2026, but retained a limited new-player group, so the button is not available to every account. 3 4

Unlock Pilots at 1000 XP and choose Crow for guided weapons

Pilot access unlocks at 1,000 account XP. Around seven matches can be an early estimate in this route, but the actual requirement is XP. Match results, objective rewards and daily limits change the number of games needed. 5

Read the Pilot’s innate skill before paying. A weapon-type bonus must match the weapon you are using. For this Javelin build, the screenshot shows Crow for 40,000 Credits, with +5% Guided Weapon Damage and +3% Mech HP at the displayed starting rank.

Equip Crow on the Mech carrying the Javelin Racks. If you choose a different weapon category, compare the available Pilots before spending your Credits.

Plan Mech Arena purchase rewards before buying packs

You can follow the equipment route using in-game resources. Real-money purchases are a separate option for offers that reward them. My notes describe a basic purchase task repeatable up to seven times; confirm that allowance in your own offer details, because the summary screenshot does not display the repeat limit.

Task Displayed payout
Make a purchase $1.97
Make a purchase of at least $4.99 $5.25
Make a purchase of at least $9.99 $8.82

Offer requirements and resource packs

Read your offer milestonesThis example task list includes division, XP and purchase rewards. Your own offer determines eligibility, deadlines and payouts.
Open the ShopThe highlighted Shop button in the Hangar leads to the resource offers.
Compare resource packsThe highlighted $0.99 offer includes 150 A-Coins and 15,000 Credits. Prices and availability can change.

The seven-purchase example

If your offer explicitly permits seven qualifying purchases, a possible sequence is five $0.99 packs, one $4.99 pack and one $9.99 pack. That makes seven transactions costing $19.93 before tax. First confirm that $0.99 meets any minimum, then use a low-cost purchase to check tracking before continuing.

Seven repeats at $1.97 would total $13.79. If your offer instead pays $1.99, they would total $13.93. Those repeat rewards alone do not cover the full sequence. Only include the separate $4.99 and $9.99 milestones in your calculation if the offer confirms that they stack.

Look for packs containing useful A-Coins. The highlighted $0.99 offer includes 150 A-Coins and 15,000 Credits, but packs can change after a purchase. Keep receipts, check tracking, and use an external payment store only when your offer explicitly accepts it.

Mech Arena divisions and battle requirements

Ranking Points determine your division. They are separate from account XP and Tier Stars. Plarium lists 10–50 RP for a participating player on a winning team, with 50 for the top performer. Losses can give zero or deduct points, so there is no guaranteed battle count. 6

The table uses the thresholds in the ten division screenshots below. Both estimates start at zero RP. The minimum assumes 50 RP every match without a loss; the second is an illustrative average of 25 net RP per match, including losses.

Division RP required Minimum wins at 50 RP Matches at 25 net RP
Division 10 200 4 8
Division 9 400 8 16
Division 8 700 14 28
Division 7 1,000 20 40
Division 6 1,500 30 60
Division 5 2,000 40 80
Division 4 3,000 60 120
Division 3 5,000 100 200
Division 2 7,000 140 280

Estimate your remaining matches

Use your real average net RP per match, losses included. This is a planning estimate.

190matches4,750 RP to go at 25 net RP per match

Matches = (target RP − current RP) ÷ average net RP per match, rounded up.

For example, Division 5 to Division 3 needs another 3,000 RP when starting at exactly 2,000 RP. That means 60 further wins at 50 RP each, or around 120 matches at 25 net RP. Subtract any tutorial RP you have already earned from your target.

League Division 1 unlocks Season Divisions, a separate track that resets with the Battle Pass season. Check which type your offer requires. 7

Daily XP limits, A Coins and quests

A full reward bar and a division threshold measure different things. Before spending A-Coins on a reset, check which progress system has actually reached its limit.

  • Ranking Points: Your League or Season Division.
  • Account XP: Progress Path unlocks and XP offer milestones.
  • Combat and Victory Points: Crates earned through match participation and wins.
  • Tier Stars: Access to the next Gear Hub tier.

Plarium’s Progress Path guide describes a base daily allowance of 500 battle XP, with up to another 500 from regular objectives; event objectives can add more. The division screens in this run say reaching a new division clears Combat Point, Victory Point and daily XP limits. 5

The Combat Point limit partially clears every 2.5 hours, and A-Coins can clear it when nearly full. Read the reset screen: a Combat Point reset should not be assumed to reset every other limit. Keep an A-Coin reserve for useful gear, upgrades or a clearly relevant reset. 8

A simple routine for efficient progress

  • Claim login, Inbox and available free resource rewards.
  • Check Daily, Weekly, Gear Hub and unlocked Pilot objectives.
  • Play for the win while completing relevant objectives.
  • Collect finished rewards before buying more equipment.
  • Check your next division or XP milestone and its deadline.

Completing the Weekly objective set can award 200 A-Coins. Gear Hub objectives also supply XP and resources, making them worth checking alongside the main battles. 9

Mech Arena beginner FAQ

What is the best Mech Arena starter code for this guide?

GRASSHOPPER is my recommendation for the Lacewing and Javelin Rack route. It supplies a rank-three Lacewing, 200 A-Coins, 100,000 Credits and a Prodigy Crate when the account is eligible.

Can you skip the Mech Arena tutorial?

In this playthrough, waiting about 30 seconds in the Hangar revealed Skip Tutorial in the top right. If that option does not appear, complete the introductory battles normally.

How do you unlock Tier 3?

Earn the required Tier 2 stars. This route buys Credit-priced equipment, then uses the 45-A-Coin Juggernaut purchase to pass the 18-star requirement. The matching objective returns 50 A-Coins when available.

Is the weapon Javelin Rack 3 or Javelin Rack 6?

The screenshot shows Javelin Rack 6 at rank three. It costs 220 A-Coins in this run and uses six energy per equipped weapon.

When do Pilots unlock in Mech Arena?

Pilots unlock at 1,000 account XP. Seven matches is not a fixed requirement, because objective rewards and match XP affect your progress.

How many battles does Division 3 take?

Division 3 requires 5,000 Ranking Points in the supplied screens. From zero, 100 wins at 50 RP each is the mathematical minimum. An average net gain of 25 RP means about 200 matches.

Why is the Trial button missing?

Trial availability depends on the account. Plarium ended the wider test from August 3, 2026, while keeping it for a limited new-player group.

Does every purchase pay an offerwall reward seven times?

No universal rule applies. Confirm the repeat limit, minimum purchase amount, eligible payment channel and reward stacking in the specific offer before buying multiple packs.

Can you follow this guide without paying real money?

Yes. Starter-code resources and earned in-game currency can fund the early equipment route. The real-money purchase section is optional and applies only to eligible offerwall tasks.
